The moment I tried using some of their products, I instantly became a fan! And the best product I should say is their Organic Cleanser and Make-up remover. It's creamy, gentle, yet very effective in removing make up especially powder foundation, mascara and eyeliner. I have tried using other brands (Petroleum Jelly, Clinique, and pond's cold cream which to me has a certain smell that I don't like) but I'm all praises for this one. This product is not greasy at all and does not sting my eyes. And the thing I love most - it is organic and does not contain any harmful chemicals (like those SLS, Phthalates and parabens. Most of all, it is affordable (priced at P99 only).

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 214px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgRMDdYdLlvOr6fecD8cqMG5FMgWihwj6UCCQ5WgZuUOsY69TfZaFZVJZ0JPlh3vJ15eaRxP3PCUXvHgNAcGvo03H9C7ZLokpd0m_MRTpFiM9Ot3k_hEbspcqf3v5dEKzgbYW3GqzChivQt/s320/014.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5438061061542647442" />

It definitely is the best and the safest make-up remover for me so do give this a try!cHihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12470690355047316994noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7919867967858192454.post-16628583107652007562009-03-12T21:21:00.045+08:002009-04-10T15:34:09.233+08:00A trip to HK and Asia'a Gambling DestinationHongkong these days had become a popular destination to those who prefer an easy and quick, yet exciting escapade. It was definitely our first time to travel off shore and the mere sight of Hongkong's gleaming skyscrapers and all the lights from the aircraft's window made my heart really jump.

We made the trip there last February, and the weather was really chilling. The absence of scorching heat of the sun did not make us look haggard and feel too stressed at the end of the day. I was quite amazed with how busy and humongous HK International Airport was. Now I wonder how the JFK, Beijing Airport or the London Heathrow look like.

On the first night, we headed to the Ladies Market and temple street night market. The goods sold there were not much different from the ones you would see in the chinatown markets here in the islands of Philippines, from bags to accessories, except that they have Hongkong souvenir shirts which you can buy as pasalubong. Souvenir Shirts range from 20-25 HKD / per shirt or 5 shirts for 100HKD.

Of course, one cannot miss the Ocean Park - home of cute pandas, and the Philippine's most accessible Disneyland. HK's Disneyland may be the smallest, but still, one day is not enough to experience all the fun and magic it offers. Falling in line just to take photos with Mickey and Minnie will definitely kill your time.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhC9yXJv3LBVZ4N8sgNH55IrGorRG6hgi7PLy_P5qInUAV4ZJguzbAdE_7nAYYJguj3FBzvidtfRWmOyzAne5gR_1-YL6XHGyCaVIZvJjyKBfDfmkE_xwb7ZtrthfxPyvxPxGQ95KlCOJoS/s400/DSC01264.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5322710646949430722" />

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiL3wD8cc8UnpMksU3CzrM8YU-D3jZXgbECQQ0cH-uHcxTL5l78K5CU8oO6b8oobEeUwlAq23PXRFtZqXgdna-dIA7AfizyB9mcjSiKPKfzz1xUXf7mL1qZmKzXtWHzcpnbfdqchlWMfURA/s400/DSC01691.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5322711926358655810" />

A ride at the HK's famous century-old peak tram was also a breathtaking and unforgettable experience, you could see a fantastic view of the city. I was definitely in awe while seeing the view from the tram. The steep journey up to the Peak Tower took only less than 10 minutes. There, you can further enjoy the view and the strong winds at the deck, visit the Madame Tassauds Museum at the Peak Galleria, have some coffee, dine or shop. A roundtrip ticket is worth 32HKD/pax I think. For me, this is a must experience for everyone visiting Hongkong. Other sights that are also worth seeing are the symphony of lights at night and the avenue of stars.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 138px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhNnvRgg79vjdp9LmyNDUQSjpxh-3OblsClL39E20FEDn4QeFsbbBNxtyfRk2hU976rHh0ucuEFZD93TFeAOGXWUHWlB6-Kf53c9SQOg0vHdQjsAxDl2lqsos0uEO-8xj8TWG7gsX41YiUK/s400/trial+2.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5322564664743333826" />

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEghUvtxYIIsR7cI_t1Fa9ZdOZgVabhrnivRuDrjyK5kibtImqZoZ9q-pBQcZFo-BomIZg530XCviaALtdHC7J1IvUDCxB-Z-DzaORPV9r9yyGX5xCIQFWJp7uwviknCGajy2_9l0n1RWdpX/s400/PIC-0527.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5322562855173509202" />

Order: 1)The Peak Tram 2)View from the tram 3)inside the tram 4)above -The Peak Tower

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiDCvKxVtVBzGpC0XFNXgzYMGTNtDVMfbriRUJHkiDx1pcVFuG1c72EWqM_SNsfRd8HtbT5uk3ltriCU66BKKQIqjIJ7oKciBVYivIHm3vLXNpCfE5DRJGD8i4G4wU2THhd3Ps0JDbvO3fH/s400/DSC01812.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5322579387487067378" />

While in HK, one can make a trip to what was once a Portuguese colony - Macau. The journey from HK to Macau took about an hour via the ultrafast ferry. The short trip made us feel a bit nauseated as the waves were just too strong, but thanks to Bonamine, I survived! Macau is a small place with lots of European architecture, temples, and of course, casinos of all shapes and sizes. HK dollars are generally accepted in Macau, so you don't really have to worry about changing your HKD into MOP. We hired a van for a daytour in Macau, which already includes a visit at the Macau Venetian Resort as our final stop. For some sweet treats and pasalubong, head to Senado Square (near the famous ruins of st. paul). I would recommend the egg rolls and almond cookies for pasalubong and their must-try egg tarts for light snacks.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgMs0a4KfTCf095iweGloE25-PtJ2waicRAWhQ0uFE3QT-GlJure-85-Zr5Rl_-YYNhDStUwkYaaXLdhWUIEkWcN0CdNuDFV8u7SQ0UwCHBkaq7TnlShacgiJET6QzWRdbGerZeGrJ23_eI/s400/PIC-0460.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5322713636059251122" />

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj3WG0XLQXFZVHEtUDJMS2MNFvvk75kl6Rhnv0xf60LcXbh8hJuGml4uxT1atzTJnfwq1FUdvH_H-ix7ZzDGLSjET4oRP1iqctP6kzIjmmNNNaPqCU6JwGoEwi7-ItO1DhBFCyot0YhQG2i/s400/DSC01542.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5322715101623785458" />

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi2ss_0uDj0T6CxLAeW9o1lV9Xa4jCtPjZF2893jT71_BInbMQiToGAbNmS7WGfQPlFWvaeoHdm-Zjp4Yh6KEn18sKdgm2bkJm4bO88Fn_PBqGFMLfSKSg_HTR36_JW79UPbJAbJr52nP2b/s400/DSC01548.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5322566606175957778" />
A taste of Italy - The Macau Venetian Resort and the gondola ride.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjgKYGnnIACh0sJI5RMpDn_-FZTGZ1oc_gOcLYQ4GHiwyHByoGwoDTMKJZedpKfSWvS3NI02YCSmuZh4MnEe6IYmJRcoYC1dF2p06aPW80sEjeghBml_IAjJO41qryW3JyWLnebvCXmjnSE/s400/DSC01438.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5322572266572928626" />
The famed Macau Tower at the back, one of the tallest. Not for anyone who has a fear of heights.

For first time travelers like moi, here are a few tips to make your trip less of a hassle:

1. Purchase an Octopus Card (the heart of public transpo in HK) the moment you arrive in Hongkong. Octopus cards are sold at the airport and MTR stations at 150HKD (the deposit fee of 50HKD will be given back to you upon returning the card). Reloading your octopus card is necessary and the minimum amount is 50HKD.

2.For travelers who don't have map with them, worry not as guide maps are made available at the airport.

3. Bring lots of sweatshirts and jackets when traveling during the cold season (January to March).

4. For those who are tight on budget, pack some foods before you head out and travel. You can bring along noodles, bottled spreads, coffee, and bread for your breakfast and snacks if you want, to help you save on your meal expenses.

Hongkong is indeed a vibrant place that has so much to offer. We did not really have the luxury of time to visit all the places we wanted, but the memories from the trip will definitely make us want to go back for more.cHihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12470690355047316994noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7919867967858192454.post-3327726054814769012009-03-07T22:22:00.002+08:002009-03-07T22:54:31.681+08:00Body Shop's Olive Body Butter<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 250px; height: 250px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgMWRmSgt1GeuAakaYzbywAW5erC7jyDQoQuZ8zUcwi4m2OplE31Yls_jrlOrN_jchPTUI18GzfUjIREvAM8AEJ30Lv7qZEkhRcgtgRScC59iiIDiUX5P2S_CN9VdfvxJNFUBCGxs05SZCG/s400/pd_bodybutter_olive.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5310458914738585586" />

I have always been a fan of Body Shop's range of products -- they use natural ingredients, and the company has this sense of Corporate Social Responsibility. Though I have tried only a few products from them, there's one product that I really like -- their Body Butter Olive variant. I have a dry skin (sometimes flaky) and a good lotion / moisturizer is a must. This product is just such a good find, it moisturizes my skin well until the end of the day. I super love its fresh, subtle fragrance, that I fell in love with its scent (I don't like fruity scents). Most of all, it does not feel greasy despite its thick, rich texture. I have tried using other body butters but feels very sticky when applied to skin. The Body Shop's body butter may be a bit pricey (PhP795) but I think it's worth every penny for this great product.cHihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12470690355047316994noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7919867967858192454.post-46807944803865160442009-01-21T22:09:00.008+08:002009-01-21T23:03:14.093+08:00White lady on cop's video?OMG. At this hour, you may have already started writing down your new year’s resolution. Yeah, we’ve already done it before—probably many, many times and the resolution that we patiently commit to follow only seems to last for a few weeks. But before the year ends, let me give you a personal update of the year that was.

From NGO to LGU. I never imagined myself to be working in a local government. I am no political person nor do I have any knowledge about the local affairs. But things seemed to have conspired and in a matter of less than 15 minutes of informal interview that day, I landed a job I never thought I would get.

While I was still in the process of whether I should give it a try or not, I told myself, if ever I’m gonna get the job, that I’m just gonna test the waters and see what I can get. And now, I’m on my 10th month! And in those months, I was made to realize the huge responsibility of being a public servant.

Second on my list:

An injured Jantox. Jan had his left knee injured this Christmas Season. Who would have ever thought this would happen to him. He could have attended the annual parolan had somebody invited him. But he opted to play basketball with his officemates. The outcome? A new pair of crutches with his left leg immobilized, and the need for a knee surgery that would cost around 110,000 bucks. Hopefully, he’ll get better soon and that the next Christmas would be more fun for both of us.

And the highlight of it all:

Something black and new. Finally, I had my first ever thing which J, my ever generous santa had given me for Christmas. Thank you sweetie! =)

Happy new year to everyone! cHihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12470690355047316994noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7919867967858192454.post-63986557007065906162008-05-27T12:37:00.007+08:002008-05-27T13:24:01.980+08:00CommArts Summer '08<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiJuXNAt4xCxX5EuAw1Thb0YnnE8gDC8MI_wV08OCznJjDk4vW7wa03jjra0nOGylp8CbzuDQxaGFL701ZPS9X_-_t7q-Sp8tIL_vUj2wCwcq9baed4iyAVOxh78Cohx4F2yHV3Q3vn-ttc/s400/bluewater%2520063.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5204922998594558402" />

I hope it’s not too late for me to have this posted, but this one deserves a spot in my blog. After months of hibernating, I’m back with my one and only post for summer! I was just so excited to post this but got no time to go online for this.

One and a half day of fun under the sun and in the water, munching, camwhoring and all. Looking for resorts with affordable rates, we opted to go to Bluewaters Resort, which is just beside Costa Marina. For the information of everyone reading this, entrance to Bluewaters now costs 100 bucks. It’s not really the high end type of resort, but can serve as an option for a quick weekend escape. Cheapskates as we are, we rode the Samal bus and took a “habal” ride since we brought with us baon, which is not allowed if you’re taking the main entrance which can be reached via their boat. You can be allowed to bring baon if you take the back entrance. The staff in the resort are accommodating, and the place is clean, though their rooms need a bit of improvement. Who would not know this book - I myself heard about about it a thousand times already - although up to now, I still haven't read it (You might want to lend me one, haha...)

Relating covey's 2nd habit to this world of mine, I told myself, "yeah, I should work with the end in mind". Yup, you read it right, work with the end in mind. For those who are and who'd been into "hell" because of work(an overstatement maybe), it would seem more fitting and inspiring to work with the thought of "Working with the end in mind". I for one, is awaiting for that day when I can finally escape from the agony I had been feeling for several months. The thought of the last days just gives me a feeling of relief, inspiration and all. To end means having to start anew, the end means new environment and being up for new challenges. Now, I'm feeling a little better because some of the impossible things were resolved during the meeting. And of course, I'll be out soon......

One month to go for that end to come...:-)cHihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12470690355047316994noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7919867967858192454.post-83545010981468469962008-01-22T14:12:00.001+08:002009-03-07T23:27:45.149+08:00UP@100: Ang Galing mo!To all proud peyups!

UP: Excellence, Service, and Leadership in the Next 100 Years"*

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhH2NHPKFDpqN6xa9V9CBZtqxlV5a5g0LksaBPJkGhC94bHozowjp6FUuVRTCt-9uGB77j_AxAScGZvR5A2avvvth4PMRwancjEed7kWvskHpVWo-YTx9fEjjtbadI3jCe33rNLfG8XAroC/s200/up_centennial_logo2.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5158194579093718146" />

The country's premier university, the University of the Philippines is now 100 years old and UP is moving into the future with goals that are ever more expansive. Well, I just kept myself busy browsing the internet googling some stuffs and chatting with my officemates the whole time --- with no feelings of guilt at all. Ei! It’s not that there’s nothing to do. In fact, there are a bunch of sh*** things that I have to do. Papers seem to be all over my workplace but no matter how much I condition myself to be in the work mode, I just don’t have the energy to work on the magnanimous tasks that I myself have to do for lack of many things - manpower, resources, directions, spirit, but a big chunk of it is lack of energy and passion. All these had made me become an unproductive mammal.

Every s i n g l e day seems to be a torture. All these make my world a compete mess and I’m having great difficulty thinking how will I be able to get out of this hellish situation. Being able to escape would require honesty and honesty would mean having a great amount of courage and being ready to face whatever the consequences would be.

After all, this is the friggin path I took more than 2 years ago. Looking back, there’s a feeling of regret. If only...

My friends have moved on and are happy and now I’m left alone in this hell. How I miss the days when we would just play charades during our free time in the dormitory, study my lessons, take a nap in the afternoon or just go and gallivant after the class. Yeah, I will never forget those times when all we have to worry about are oral recitations, passing the written exams and of course, endless paper works.

I relish the weekends, the holidays and every single day that I am away from my work. I hope I could finally be able to reach the end of the tunnel and just chase the clouds away, run in the fields and have just total fun, free from feelings of regrets, dissatisfaction, worries. The million dollar question is WHEN?cHihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12470690355047316994noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7919867967858192454.post-63624860523540193752007-11-13T09:09:00.001+08:002007-11-13T10:44:34.467+08:00Benefit Day Spa<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjmgNEahT6eSdanobOd6IrHiizEcTqe_VAxqVxCDrLLPjus-plUVLz2zNsrwYgRcDgIwmeH_4E9lnIIobafxL2pCNGN4147mmmZ2HhVYjKZinlYsEy1XZDyscrTYe2wahy4Gk-FdyXa0LKi/s400/09102007892.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5132148062106583682" />

I got to know of this spa from my mum who was given flyers and a gift certificate by one of the owners of the spa. The owners of the spa by the way are friends of my family. As I was reading their promotional flyer, I got immediately tempted by the 50% off on their ultimate treatments and 30% off on all their major services (until December only, from 1 pm to 4pm). The services being offered were also affordably priced.

The day after, we headed to the spa. I had their Ultimate Full Body massage (250) while Mum, who arrived late, had the Benefeet Signature Treatment (P300).

Before the massage began, I was given a pair of shorts to wear. I've read that derobing is optional. The place has nice interiors but the space is just so small. The bed where I had the massage was also small that it restrained the masseuse from moving a lot especially when we had to do the stretching part (like that of thai massage). Good thing they're gonna expand to accomodate more beds. They used peppermint essential oil on me which was very much relieving. The massage took 1 hour and 15 minutes. Not bad for the price of 250 which already includes essential oil. For the massage, my mum paid only 125 since it's 50% off. (It's actually mum's treat, hehe..)

I got finished first since my mum arrived late. While watching her sit on this very relaxing chair (fit for a queen), I got jealous with the treatment that I told myself I'm gonna have it on my next visit. I sat next to her and I just felt so comfortable with the chair that I wanted to sleep there. I asked her how the service was and she said she liked it the most compared to other spas which are a bit expensive. The customer can actually choose from the following options for the Benefeet - whitening, softening, relaxing. Mum had the whitening.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjpZ41383xiAXvJAWbP9Bh08qaraLoLmgaJ35YasIOylbPzzH7sd4CzyaY30T36ygezV4L6XFJDkUsLxM1r0_0StW-U-n8dxlgTtAEM2o-tsfBuAEdNeCyfO8BDlMTZha889oz-LLSWSSWL/s400/09102007886.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5132146524508291698" />

Benefit Day Spa also offers the following services: Benefacial signature facial, grooming and hair removal, hilot full body massage, beautiful hands signature treatment and hand/foot reflexology.

And just a note, the store does not encourage tipping as it is their pleasure to serve their customers. So don't feel guilty anymore for not giving gratuity tips. Hehe..

As one of the owners would say, it's just your simple, intimate, cozy place where you can relax and enjoy some 'me' time. The day before the event, I brought my family to Banana Leaf for a dinner. Sad to say, I was not satisfied with the service and the meals we ordered. The supposed to be spicy rice turned out to be sweet. The minced pork with basil in thai sauce looked so simple but was extremely hot. The moment it was served, we got disappointed. The pork was not minced but rather ground. Well, people must be careful on the use of terms. The clams with special sauce was also sweet with a hint of spice. Darn! Everything was sweet except for that ground pork. The service was not good either. For all these, I had to shell out almost 2,000. For the dessert, we had this banoffie pie from red ribbon - my request from my sisters. I've read that it's Margaret Thatcher and Princess' Diana's favorite pudding. (Kalevel na pala, haha..)
My baby niece liked the pie - lots of cream, walnuts, banana and chocolate gratings.

Then came this 2 day affair. My Gosh, what a grandiose way to celebrate my birthday, I had so much visitors. Haha...The event brought in more than 200 delagates coming from various countries.

On that day, I had a taste of the Kaimunan Festival. In line with the BIMP-EAGA Investment conference, the Department of Tourism sponsored a Kaimunan festival which highlighted the tribe bamboo cooking. The event took place at the Garden tent of Waterfront. We got invited to the affair and so after the 1st day of the conference, we all headed to the venue. We decided to just go back to Marco for the fellowship cocktails.

Upon arrival, guests were welcomed by a cultural performance by the Kaliwat dance troupe. (I'm gonna contact them for future events) What impressed me was the kind of dishes served and the way those dishes were cooked. There I got educated with the tradition of bamboo cooking. In bamboo cooking, food is cooked in its natural flavors using herbs and spices, definitely no oil. Then, a ritual follows. The gathering is called the Kaimunan. There I was able to try dishes which I never heard of - Tuwa na Hipon for the soup, Adobong manok sa lo-ot at pinya. They also had mushrooms in garlic, mixed seafoods, the other one I forgot (It was beef, but didn't try it) -- all cooked in a bamboo roasted on fire.

The soup for me was excellent. It had coconut meat (which I think is the culprit for the sweetness) with herbs and spices. The rice that they had was the brown rice, the one considered healthy. No matter how healthy it is, I still prefer the white one.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgDRe6qMvwg6vdaqJfrC6jpBmiqb2TmB7Aqi6S7yqmhhG69wcjlu9gNWwO6V94fTKBU555vxXQ-nfy7nHZ9a-yOgWhviQfQNEb6HXeHhWciRY4KHjZ1xfFzQXl0ugj37JDS6G_5Iz7ODpzJ/s400/IMG_4475.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5125173923250786610" />

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhM5ELS-zmK9FY3iOP5r2FyHk0KBleHX0v_Scn0fDL0O1-1hVldYlXDmYbUgBodMiHtd08yRmcz6dcCvSdUNGVfWpmHrqE0lp4CiVQLR7tCEvnw-DWFbHcKHikXtvcy-1AVt7QreuFAd0iG/s400/IMG_4476.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5125174228193464642" />

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhYspgeA_jARPYChIp9dDHXLT8x5JI8gPWWyu_HhOObPciaKt8TE2MoyeaKrVK4glNAatXF5kN53eLPxcrIH7JD5YQJiMQH0ZSdGtm3sWi1IopzZvMNCvD9CNGKRRp_hQJJ1KDT38ntTpLP/s400/IMG_4478.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5125174666280128850" />

At least I learned something for my birthday. After the dinner, we were all served with a glass of red wine. The Kaliwat also entertained the delegates with the portrayal of the kaimunan. It seemed the foreign delegates enjoyed the affair and joined the dance troupe in their performance. In events like this, it's always the foreigners who enjoy much and are willing to dance together with the performers.

After the affair, we all went back to Marco for the cocktails. Well, it was my first time to see the hotel's new function place - The Deck. The place is nice, but heard the cost per head is 1000. Too expensive though. We didn't really stay long during the fellowship, I just satisfied myself with their sweets and refreshment.

Last night, we had this small family gathering in our house. Was it a sort of a post birthday celebration? Kinda..My dad did the cooking as usual. It was really a gastronomic relief for my wormies in my tummy. Haha...Such a week long memorable celebration.

To all those who greeted me, much love...cHihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12470690355047316994noreply@blogger.com9tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7919867967858192454.post-86820893034806467452007-10-08T13:09:00.000+08:002007-10-08T14:01:03.275+08:00Where's the Oxygen?Overheard this inside the comfort room in one of the known malls in Davao..

A young English speaking girl (around 6 to 8 years of age) facing the mirror, talking to her older sister: I NEED OXYGEN !(pronounced "awksijen", in a sosyal manner...)

Hearing this, one of the girls commented: ASA DIAY NAADTO AND OXYGEN? It's the time of the Librans now and so I'm posting something dedicated to all my fellow lovable beautiful Librans...So what makes librans soo soo special? Here are what majority of the readings say about the zodiac sign Libra.

Librans are said to have a pleasant, clever, articulate, charming, charismatic, beautiful, outgoing, fair, artistic, social, refined, diplomatic, even-tempered and self-sufficient character (that really makes us so desirable huh, whew!!) The Libra person is said to be cooperative, sees both sides, open-minded, just, urbane, partnership oriented, avoids conflict, balanced, graceful, debative, idealistic, and equalitarian (blushes...) Librans exude certain elegance, charm and fine taste. Librans too are among the most civilized of the twelve zodiacal characters and are often good looking (a big YES for the last adjective, heheh..) Librans are affectionate, courteous, agreeable persons and are considerate of other people's feelings.

Librans don't handle conflict situations very well. When Librans are exposed to conflicts, they may even get upset. Close harmonious relationships are very important Thus, always trying to please.

I think that explains myself - why I find it difficult to say no to people. It is rather hard for me sometimes to commit to one side of an argument — as I don’t want to be seen as biased, and I want everyone to like me; Why I fancy candle light dinners and walks on the beach...because of Venus being the goddess of love??

These are tons of reasons enough to feel lucky I should say for being born under this zodiac sign. So to all my fellow librans, MAKE LOVE, NOT WAR!!cHihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12470690355047316994noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7919867967858192454.post-12102445864476501252007-09-25T08:17:00.000+08:002007-10-05T19:32:22.092+08:00The week and the months that will be..Whew!!Im baaaack folks! After a looowwng time...Vacation is over, and I'm now back to work! (sniffs) and I had to set myself to work mode...(I already did!) Been busy for the past days due to this training of trainers which started last week. As you would know, I'm into developmental work handling project on governance in Mindanao, but now I'm engaged in a project that deals with installation of family welfare program for the SMEs, with family planning as one of its major components. Arggh...Do I seem credible?!? hehe...Never thought it would be this difficult. There is still sooo MUCH to be done (as in much!)

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjGayCk4YK_5L_semj5-8c1NGALsqbtAhmnWhS63qS8x4hIP5pJjayTYjSDW4NhihKQpgXz1kSPED8ZgVllwB7ZdRzZrk-1xM9BC3-tgzZe-r4sEeIcEu5kvR0zqxKY1iVqQxRk0mLRfjAs/s400/busy.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5114002249672532882" />

I should say this week is going to be quite of a hell with the series of engagements and loads of work that need to be done. The training's going to end tomorrow, and on Thursday, I (together with my Team Leader) will again be attending a Partners' Meeting for a day and a half for the governance project. This is some sort of an assessment meeting but I will not elaborate on this..As for now, I'm still waiting for what's going to happen next with the governance project. The project actually ended last September 15 and I'm doing the terminal report now.

My mind is a bit scattered now, don't know how I'm gonna manage these all.I just can't imagine what is it going to be like in the coming months. As usual, both being lovers of food, the week was again filled with gastronomic adventures. To start off, we dined at Roadhouse cafe on his first day here for our snacks. I just ordered ham sandwhich and the boyfriend, hungry that time, ordered a meal since he still didn't have his lunch yet. He had hungarian sausage with potatoes and coleslaw as sidings and garlic rice. The serving was generous, and delighted to see the huge cuts of potatoes (I just love pohtaytoes). For less then a 150 bucks, it was worth the price. As for my order, i wasn't able to consume it all - I only ate half of the sandwhich. We also ordered mango crepe with ice cream on it. It wasn't so sweet, but the crepe was a bit thick.

Hungarian Sausage

Ham Sandwhich

Mango Crepe

Our next adventure was at Aling Foping's Fud Treyn at the back of MTS. We both heard about the halo-halo being sold at MTS. We had their special halo-halo and bibingka. The good thing about their halo2x is that you have the freedom to choose the ingredients for your halo2x. Mine consisted only of shaved ice, milk, sago, macapuno, ube, nata de coco and of course, leche flan. The special halo2x costed P90. The bibingka we ordered was great - it was freshly cooked, still hot, soft and with filling.

Aling Foping's Fud Treyn

Bibingka

We had one of our dinners at Banana Asian Leaf Cafe at Chimes. Their fish dish was a twist to the usual fried tilapia. I expected the noodles (phad thai) to be spicy, but it was not spicy at all. Still, it tasted great.

I've been telling the boyfriend since last year that we try Swiss Deli but the location isn't just favorable to both of us. Finally, our feet brought us there. The boyfriend, being a sausage fanatic, ordered their English Bangers while I had their Beef Escalope. The sausages were soft and juicy. We had tiramisu for the dessert which costed only P85. The meals are relatively cheap considering the big servings you get. If you're a lover of sausages, steaks and other european cuisines, Swiss Deli is the place for you.

Till our next gastronomic adventure!cHihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12470690355047316994noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7919867967858192454.post-49550558490232030122007-08-30T12:54:00.001+08:002007-10-05T19:36:22.385+08:00Three ThingsI was tagged, and at last, I'm done with this meme. Suddenly, we heard a load croak that sounded like that of a frog. Hearing the sound, my sisters and I panicked. Well, I must admit, I’m afraid of frogs. The mere sight of it terrifies me, fearing it would jump into me. So we all got off from the car and had my brother in law search for that dreaded eerie creature using the light from my cell phone. My older sister even wanted to had her bag checked because the sound seemed to be coming from her bag. Finding nothing, we all went back inside the car, still curious – only to find out it was an alarm from my sister’s phone………darn!!!!cHihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12470690355047316994noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7919867967858192454.post-56451332119722785962007-08-02T10:14:00.000+08:002007-10-05T19:33:42.379+08:00Holidays for August --- Love it!I just love it this month - lots of holidays as already declared by the government. I admire VMV because of its claim to be the first Filipino brand that's been allowed to use the word "hypoallergenics" on its brand name for not containing the top skin allergens.

I love their Skin-Saving Body and Bath Anti-Perspirant and some of their soaps. I used to buy their powder foundation but switched to other brand because its price increased to a whopping 100% just because of the reason that its packaging is from New York! What a valid reason!

Anyway, I just discovered this product which I find so far ok. I did not really have intentions of buying it though. It just so happened that we needed to purchase a product worth P50 as instructed by the Customer Service Representative. I will not be telling the whole story of it. So As I was looking around for a product to buy, the 50% off at the VMV booth caught my attention. Their Glykeros Lift Off Scrubbing Bar is 50% off. The soap is originally priced at P299 but with the discount, it only costs P149. The saleslady kept on convincing me that it’s a nice buy, and its offer is just limited. I had been curious about the product and so to satisfy my curiosity, I bought it.

The soap produces a rich later and I could actually feel the beads scrub my body.
